Adding and subtracting Integers

a) 5+-8 you would do -8 - 5= -3. You take the sign of the higher absolute value. b) -4+10 You would do 10- -4=6. Take the sign of the higher absolute value.  c) 4-9 you would do 4-9=-5  d) -8-(-9).  you would do 9- -8= 1 Take the sign of the higher absolute value.
